Mississippi Land Bank Board Of Directors Appoints Chad Crow As Chief Executive Officer
After conducting an extensive nationwide search, the Board of Directors is proud to announce Chad Crow as the new Chief Executive Officer of Mississippi Land Bank effective April 8, 2024.
Matt Walden, the association’s Chief Operating Officer, has served as Interim CEO, since February 27, 2023. Walden has been crucial in leading the association through a period of record inflation and interest rate volatility. Under his leadership the association maintained high credit quality, experienced growth in its loan portfolio, and most importantly, ensured its member/borrowers received exceptional customer service.
“Mississippi Land Bank is successful because every employee is focused on providing gold standard services to its member-borrowers. The fact that the association grew nearly 6% and will pay its stockholders a similar return as last year is a testament to that dedication,” Walden said.
Board Chairman Alan Blaine stated, “We extend our genuine gratitude to Matt for his dedication and guidance during his tenure as Interim CEO over the past year. Furthermore, we are thrilled to welcome Chad Crow to the Mississippi Land Bank family. Given his extensive background and leadership skills within the Farm Credit System, he will serve our members, staff, and board effectively."
Crow comes to North Mississippi with more than 20 years of Farm Credit experience, most recently serving as the Chief Credit Officer of Farm Credit Southeast Missouri. He possesses a wealth of expertise in the fields of banking, agriculture, and agribusiness.
“It’s an honor to be given the opportunity to lead Mississippi Land Bank into its next chapter,” said Crow. “As an established player within the Farm Credit System and its communities, Mississippi Land Bank is well-positioned for growth in terms of competitiveness, stockholder value, and employee empowerment. I'm excited to begin working alongside the board, employees, and customers in Mississippi, and I'm eager to hit the ground running."
